3 Fatty Foods That Will Force Your Body To
by Vic Magary – Former ARMY Soldier & Author of The 31 Day Fat Loss Cure
Like most people, you’ve probably been told your whole life that low-fat foods are a must if you want to lose weight…
Well, not so fast…
You see, the truth is that a diet high in fat & protein is the best way to shed your belly fat .
But the key here, is to make sure you are eating healthy fats.
Back when I lost 19.5 lbs when I was a soldier in the ARMY, I made sure to eat a lot of these 3 healthy fats…
Things like potato chips and french fries that are high in fat will do NOTHING but make you fat. However, the 3 foods that I’m about to tell you about will really help you when it comes to shedding your belly fat and getting a lean & toned stomach.
Here they are…
1. Avocados (20 g of fat per avocado)
Avocado’s are loaded with healthy fats along with some of the best nutrients your body needs for burning fat.
Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. They are one of the most nutritionally dense foods that you’ll find in nature.
I like to eat a few slices of avocado with my eggs (with some salsa!) and they are also perfect for making guacamole with other fresh ingredients such as lime juice, garlic and some sea salt.
2. Raw Homemade Trail Mix (~12 g of healthy fats)
Store bought trail mix usually is labeled as “healthy” but in all reality it’s not (I explain this more in this free video).
Pretzels, crackers, sugar and chocolate chips are not really what you should be eating if you want to shed those excess pounds around your waist.
However, a good homemade trail mix is actually perfect for getting a good mix of healthy fats and protein into your daily snacks. This is my usual recipe when I make homemade trail mix…
- 1/2 cup raw almonds
- 1/2 cup raw pecans
- handful of raisins
- a few pieces of chopped up dark chocolate (optional)
- pinch of quality celtic salt (or sea salt)
Recent research has shown that adding just a handful of nuts to your diet each day may help inhibit unwanted oxidation of blood lipids, thus helping prevent coronary heart disease.
This is mostly due to the significant content of vitamin E in pecans and almonds which is a natural antioxidant.
3. Eggs (14 g of fat in 2 eggs)
I have to admit as a little kid, I wasn’t very fond of eggs. Being a good ole’ Ohio boy, eggs were a staple of the majority of breakfasts mom made. I later learned to love them, and now they are my food of choice each and every breakfast.
Eggs are an incredible meal – and like the avocado, they are one of the most nutritionally dense foods around (plus they are loaded with good protein for building lean muscle)
Heres an interesting study that will show you the power of eggs…
The International Journal of Obesity compared the weight loss results of people who ate a 2 egg breakfast versus people who ate just a bagel for breakfast. The weight loss results were pretty dramatic.
The people who ate the 2 egg breakfast lost 65% more weight and lost 34% more weight around their waist then people who ate the bagel breakfast!
I’ve been trying to get this across to my readers and personal training clients for years! I even wrote a full page on this in The 31 Day Fat Loss Cure. All the “hoopla” about eggs being bad for you and increasing your cholesterol is a bunch of B.S.
Every time my clients cut out the starchy carbs like bagels & cereal from breakfast – and instead substitute eggs + fresh fruit they ALWAYS lose stomach fat! And as a bonus, they notice that they have more energy and less problems with things like high blood pressure, cholesterol and even diabetes…
Make sure you get more eggs into your breakfast!
